Dearest Mother:-

Just a few lines before going to sleep. I am getting along fine, have had no temperature so far and am resting. The doctor says that I will be able to get up in the morning. They are most nice to me and the food is very good. I have no complaints whatever to make, only I would like to get out in the beautiful weather we are having.

I have been reading the Manual of Courts-Martial all day. I try to avail myself of every opportunity to study, only I became [illegible] sometimes! Please write to me every day and tell me what you are doing with yourself.

Haven't time to write further.
